Cart Trotters Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what data the mobile idle game Cart Trotters ("the game") uses, why, and what choices you have. It applies to every version of the game on iOS and Android.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Ardevtek Yazılım. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@ardevtek.com.

2. The short version

  • The game has no accounts of its own. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or age.
  • Your game progress is stored on your device. On iOS, a copy is also kept in your own iCloud account so you can continue on a new iPhone. On Android, your device's own backup to your Google account can include it. There is no game server, and we never receive your progress.
  • The game shows ads: rewarded ads that you choose to watch (for example to double your earnings or refill your stock), and occasional full-screen ads after a rush hour. There are no banner ads.
  • You can make in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • One third-party service receives data from the game: Google AdMob (ads).
  • The game has no analytics and no crash reporting.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

3. Data that stays on your device

The following is stored on your device and is never sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the game (see section 4 for the iCloud and Android backup copies).

  • Game progress: your carts and their levels, your masters, coins, stock, the cities you have visited on the world tour, quests, story moments and your results.
  • Settings: sound effects, music, vibration, notifications, reduce motion and the language.
  • How many rewarded ads you have watched today (some rewarded offers are limited per day) and when you last saw a full-screen ad.
  • Which items you have bought.
  • A random identifier created by the game on your device. It is used only to tell your save copies apart when you continue on another device. It is not linked to you, is not an advertising identifier and is never sent to us or to AdMob.
  • Notifications: if you allow them, the game schedules local reminders on your device (for example when your stock is full or your prepared stall is ready), at most a few a day and never at night. No server is involved and no push token is created.
  • The time of day and weather you see in the game are calculated on your device from its clock. The game does not use your location.

4. Data shared with others

Google AdMob

  • What: advertising identifier (on iOS the IDFA only if you allow tracking; on Android the advertising ID), IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions, and performance and diagnostic data from the ads software.
  • Why: to show and measure the ads, to limit how often you see them, and to prevent fraud.
  • Legal basis: your consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK, Switzerland; iOS tracking permission). Personalised ads are shown only with that consent.

Google processes this data under its own terms and may process it outside your country, including in the United States. You can read how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

In-app purchases (Apple App Store, Google Play)

  • What: when you buy or restore an item (for example "No ads", permanent double income, the starter pack, city decorations, cart paints or master packs), the payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. The game only receives confirmation that the purchase is valid; it never receives your name, payment card or billing details.
  • Why: to give you what you bought, and to restore permanent items on a new device or after reinstalling.
  • Legal basis: performance of the purchase you make. Apple (apple.com/legal/privacy) and Google (policies.google.com/privacy) process the payment under their own privacy policies.

iCloud (iOS)

  • What: if you are signed in to iCloud, a compressed copy of your game progress (the data listed in section 3, including the random identifier) is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage.
  • Why: so that you can continue your game on another iPhone or after reinstalling. When the game finds a copy that is further along than the game on your device, it asks you before loading it.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping your progress safe, using a service you have chosen to use. Apple stores this data under its own privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). We cannot access your iCloud data.

Android backup

  • What: if backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the game's save file in your device backup to your Google account.
  • Why: so that your progress comes back when you restore your device or reinstall the game.
  • Legal basis: your device's backup setting. Google stores the backup under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We cannot access your backups.

5. How long data is kept

  • Data on your device: until you uninstall the game.
  • The iCloud copy: until you delete it (see section 6) or delete your iCloud data.
  • Android backups: according to Google's backup policies, while backup is turned on.
  • AdMob data: according to Google's retention policies (see the links above).
  • Purchase records: kept by Apple or Google according to their policies, so that you can restore your purchases.

6. Your choices

  • Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): the game asks for your consent before ads are loaded. Where this applies, you can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Ad preferences.
  • iOS tracking: when you first open the game, it asks for your permission to track. You can allow or deny it, and change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The game works the same either way.
  • Android advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in your device settings under Google → Ads (the exact path depends on the device).
  • Rewarded ads are optional: you can play the whole game without watching them.
  • No ads: the one-time "No ads" purchase switches off full-screen ads. Rewarded ads remain available as an option. You can restore your purchases in the game under Settings → Restore purchases.
  • iCloud: you can stop the iCloud copy by turning off iCloud for the game in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud, and delete it in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
  • Android backup: you can turn backup off in your device settings under Google → Backup (the exact path depends on the device).
  • Notifications: switch them off in the game under Settings → Notifications, or turn off notifications for the game in your device settings.
  • Delete your data: uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your device. Delete the iCloud copy or Android backup as described above. To ask about data held by Google, contact us (see below).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Because the game has no accounts and we do not receive your game data, we usually cannot link data to you personally; if you contact us we will help you exercise these rights, including with Google, and reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Turkey: the Personal Data Protection Authority, KVKK).

8. Children

The game is made for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. It does not ask for age and does not ask anyone for personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question about your child's data, contact us and we will help, including with requests to Google.

9. Changes to this policy

If what the game collects changes, we update this page at the same address and change the effective date above.
